BMW has revealed an exclusive First Edition version of the all-new 8 Series limited to just 400 units.
Based on the the M850i the First Edition is fitted with a host of interior and exterior enhancements, commissioned by the firm’s vehicle customisation brand, BMW Individual. The exterior of the limited edition M850i gets black kidney grilles, black window surrounds, black exhaust tips, 20-inch alloys wheels and an exclusive metallic blue paint finish.

Inside, the limited run M850i receives a leather M-Sport steering wheel, an Alcantara roof lining, a Bowers and Wilkins stereo system and leather upholstery finished in Ivory White and Night Blue. To mark the model’s exclusivity, BMW will also provide a plaque for the dashboard etched with each unit’s build number.
All First Editions are powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, producing 523bhp and 750Nm of torque. It feeds its power through an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system; 0-62mph takes a claimed 3.7 seconds and the top speed is limited to 155mph.
Optional extras include a carbon fibre roof and carbon fibre trim for the bumpers, mirror caps and side skirts. Pricing for the new BMW M850i First Edition is yet to be announced, as production won’t start until the spring.
