Skoda has announced a new trim level for the Octavia line-up called the Drive. Available to order now, the new equipment package comes with a range of interior and exterior upgrades, with prices starting from £20,155.
Upgrades include 17-inch alloy wheels, an eight-inch infotainment system with Amundsen satellite navigation, an integrated WiFi hotspot and textile floor mats. These features build on the Octavia SE’s specification, which includes rear parking sensors, cruise control, a driver fatigue sensor, dual-zone climate control and electrically heated and adjustable wing mirrors.

The Octavia SE Drive is available as either a hatchback or an estate and comes with three engine options. The range starts with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder TSI petrol unit, producing 112bhp and 200Nm of torque. Prices start from £20,155 for the hatch and £21,375 for the estate.
The VW Group’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol engine is also available, priced from £21,485, with performance standing at 145bhp and 250Nm of torque. The range is completed by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel, priced from £22,265, with 112bhp and 250Nm of torque. All three engines are available with a DSG transmission, for a premium of £1,250.
The current generation Octavia is on its way out, hence why Skoda is keen to add new trim levels and special edition models to the current car’s line up. The stock clearout is taking place ahead of the debut of the next-generation Octavia, tipped to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
