Audi has announced another set of Black Edition specification cars, with the trim level now available on the latest A6 saloon and Avant estate.
The Audi A6 Black Edition is a range-topping trim, building up from the popular S-Line configuration with several darkly tinted styling tweaks.
The biggest change is the adoption of a new alloy wheel design. While S-Line versions of the A6 ride on 19-inch wheels, Black Edition cars get new 20-inch V-spoke design wheels finished in matt titanium.
Elsewhere, the exterior design is altered with the addition of tinted rear windows plus a grille, front air intakes, door mirrors and a rear diffuser all finished in black. On the A6 Avant, the roof rails are tinted, too.
These are the only stying changes. In the cabin you’ll find the usual S-Line interior and trim, complete with front sports seats finished in a combination of Alcantara and leather, plus a perforated leather sports steering wheel.
Equipment is almost carried over directly from S-Line versions of the A6. Audi’s latest dual-screen infotainment set-up is standard, though it can be upgraded through the Technology pack to include Google Maps assisted navigation, a larger 10.1-inch lower display and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel. LED matrix headlights are the difference - an upgrade on the S-Line’s regular LED units.
The A6 and A6 Avant Black Edition models are available now priced from £44,635 for the 2.0-litre turbocharged 40 TDI saloon – a £2,340 premium over the equivalent S-Line model. Black Edition trim can be specified on every powertrain currently available for the A6.
