All You Need To Know About The New KTM 390 Adventure

The much-awaited new KTM 390 Adventure is all set to be launched in the first week of December 2019. Here are some things to know about the upcoming ADV.

After delaying the launch for over a year now, KTM is finally bringing its most affordable Adventure motorcycle offering. The 390 Adventure is all set to be launch in December but will be first unveiled at the 2019 EICMA.

Globally, KTM has the 790 Adventure as its entry-level ADV. The 390 Adventure will borrow many components from its naked sibling, 390 Duke. After seeing a global unveil, the ADV will be first launched outside India first. It will be a global product which will be produced at KTM’s Chakan plant and then exported outside.

Here are a couple of things that you should expect from the new 390 Adventure:

New KTM 390 Adventure – Price Expectations And Competition

Expected Price (ex-showroom) Rs 3 Lakhs

The 390 Duke goes for Rs 2.44 Lakhs (ex-showroom), on the basis of which, we expect the 390 Adventure to be priced around Rs 3 Lakhs. That way it will be more affordable than the BMW G 310 GS and Kawasaki Versys-X 300, but costlier than the Royal Enfield Himalayan. It will easily be the most powerful ADV in its competition.

New KTM 390 Adventure – Engine Specifications

Engine 373cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder
Power 43 BHP
Torque 37 Nm
Transmission 6-speed

The engine onboard the ADV will be the same that comes on the Duke 390. So, it will use the 373cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 43 BHP and 37 Nm of peak torque. The engine tuning will be altered with a better low-end torque for off-roading. However, the power figures of this engine might be changed slightly because of the upcoming BS-6 norms.
