KTM is offering five accessories in total for the Duke 790 currently and while the accessories are all pretty useful, they are a bit on the expensive side.
After lots of waiting and anticipation, KTM finally launched the Duke 790 in India a couple of weeks ago. It has been priced at Rs. 8.64 lakhs (ex-showroom), and while it is certainly expensive, there’s no denying the sensational motorcycle that the Duke 790 really is. If you consider the level of equipment on the motorcycle, the price tag does make sense to some extent. Now, KTM has released an official list of accessories for the Indian market should you wish to deck up your Duke 790.
There are a total of five accessories that KTM is offering for the Duke 790 now. These include tank pads, crash pads, a windscreen, bar-end mirrors and the KTM My Ride system. Starting with the tank pads, it has been priced at Rs 2,945. The rubber tank pads not only help you grip the tank well but also offers protection from scratches.
The windshield can be a good accessory to if you take your motorcycle touring quite frequently. It has been priced at Rs 7,868. Another very useful accessory on offer are the crash protectors for the front forks and rear swingarm which shield the vital parts during a crash. The crash protectors have been priced at Rs 3,575 each. While the Duke 390 comes with Bluetooth connectivity as standard, it is an optional extra here in the Duke 790.
The KTM My Ride device allows you to pair the TFT screen with your phone through Bluetooth. Once connected, you can accept or reject calls or even control your playlist from the screen. KTM has however not announced the price of this My Ride device yet but considering the price of other accessories, it sure wouldn’t be cheap. The last accessory on offer are the bar-end mirrors.

They are the most expensive of the lot and cost a whopping Rs 9,866 per piece! You thus end up shelling a considerable Rs 19,732 for a set. However, the blacked-out, all-aluminium mirrors are adjustable, allowing them to be mounted on either side. They look very attractive with the orange and black paint scheme of the motorcycle though.

As for the motorcycle itself, its powered by a 799cc, parallel twin engine churning out 103 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 83 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm. The Duke 790 also comes with a host of electronic nannies which includes a Bosch IMO engine management system with 4 riding modes – Sport, Street, Rain and a customized Track mode, traction control, launch control, anti-wheelie and cornering ABS with Supermoto mode. Its one of the most feature rich motorcycles in the segment.
