More Cruisers Incoming From Benelli; Will Be Based On Imperiale 400

Benelli has plans to introduce more motorcycles that will be based on Imperiale 400, but with either bigger or smaller capacity engines.

Fresh reports from ET Auto suggest that Benelli is planning more iterations based on the Imperiale 400. The retro-styled cruiser was recently launched in India at a price of Rs 1.69 Lakh, rivaling the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Jawa.

Vikash Jhabakh, MD, Benelli India has confirmed that seeing the recent success of Imperiale 400, the company plans to develop more motorcycles that will get different engine capacities. The engine capacities for these bikes might be higher or lower than Imperiale.

Benelli has not indicated in what price range will these bikes come, but we are sure they will be around Rs 3 Lakhs. Bikes around this particular price point have suddenly seen an increasing demand for some time.

It looks like Benelli has decided to take on the Indian market aggressively. In just a year of it relaunching, Benelli has already launched four new motorcycles. With its range starting from Imperiale, Scrambler-cum-roadster Leoncino Twins and TRK 502 adventure motorcycles, it has covered four segments altogether.

As of now, Benelli has confirmed that it will be launching the TRK 251 adventure motorcycle and 502C power cruiser. Both are likely to launch in India by mid-2020. While the TRK 251 will be priced around 2.5 Lakhs, the 502C power cruiser will go around Rs 5 Lakhs or so.
