Tata Tigor EV Price Starts At Rs 12.59 Lakh For Private Buyers

The difference in prices of private and commercial buyers is because of the FAME II scheme which can be only availed for commercial purposes.

Tata launched the Tigor EV in June with a driving range of 142 km which received much criticism from the potential buyers. Now, Tata has launched an updated Tigor EV with a driving range of 200 km and is available to private buyers too at a price of Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

The price in Delhi and other states stick to ₹50,000 more in the capital and the Tata Tigor EV starts at Rs 13.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for private buyers in here. The other notable change is the huge difference in the pricing of commercial and private buyers. This is because of the FAME II scheme which is available only for commercial purposes.

Tata Tigor EV comes in a total of three variants that are XE, XM and XT. And there are three colour options for the EV namely, Egyptian Blue, Pearlescent White and Roman Silver.

The Tigor EV is powered by a 21.5 kWh battery pack which offers an ARAI certified driving range of 213 km. It gets two driving modes – Drive and Sport. The EV has two charging ports – one for fast charging and other for regular charging and the top speed is 80 km/h.

Feature wise, the top trim XT+ is equipped with the 2-DIN audio system powered by Harman with Bluetooth, AUX and USB as connectivity features. It also gets 14-inch alloy wheels LED taillamps, shark fin antenna and height adjustable driver’s seat.

Safety features on the electric Tigor include Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, dual front airbags, seat belt reminders and among others. The XE+ trim only gets driver side airbag.

The Tigor EV is available in a total of 30 cities across the country and the manufacturers are also offering a warranty period of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometres, whichever is at the earliest. It directly rivals the likes of Mahindra’s e-Verito.
