Upon early 2020, we can expect the soon to be launched Altroz and 7-seater Harrier (Buzzard) along with facelifted models of the Tata Nexon, Tigor and Tigor
Tata Motors is working on revamping its current models and bringing a facelift in 2020 and Tiago is no different. The entry level hatchback from the Indian manufacturer has been recently spotted in full camouflage revealing new details.
The 2020 Tata Tiago facelift was spotted in the production ready model. The hatchback now looks different from the front fascia and the rear profile continues like before but with some tweaks to the design.
Talking about the front profile of the new Tiago, it takes inspiration from the soon to be launched Tata Altroz. The restyled bumper design along with the new placement of the fog lights is catchy. It will also get new headlight design on its launch. The lower part of the front end gets three horizontal slats while the upper part is covered in mesh grille with brands logo at the centre part.

Moving onto the rear profile, the changes are minimal but visible to the naked eye. The restyled bumper design and we also expect a rear view camera placement which is not available in the ongoing model. If you look at the taillights closely then they are tweaked as well.
The side profile of the car seems largely the same and the entry level hatchback carries the same silhouette as before. What can be different is the use of chrome handles this time for the top trims and also a new alloy wheel design.
Like the exteriors, the changes inside the cabin will be visible too. Like we can expect a new upholstery design with contrast stitching. We can also expect the use of soft touch materials and updated plastics and a refreshed cabin.
Also, the list continues with a new digital instrument cluster. Just recently, both Tiago and Tigor received this feature but it was limited to the top models only. We expect with the introduction of the facelifted Tiago, this feature is available as standard across all variants.

Under the hood, Tata Motors will continue with the 1.2-litre, four cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. Like said in earlier statements, the 1.05L, the turbocharged diesel engine will be axed out due to high charge of upgradation.
The petrol engine will be tuned to BS6 compliant and the current one churns out a total of 84 bhp with 114 Nm of peak torque. Transmission is limited to a 5-speed manual gearbox and AMT.
The Tiago facelift is expected to be launched by the end of 2019. Naturally, there will be increase in the price of this hatchback with this facelift. Currently, the Tiago is priced from Rs 4.40 lakh to Rs 6.37 lakh (petrol ex-showroom Delhi). The Tata Tiago competes against the likes of the Hyundai Santro and Maruti WagonR.
