Mahindra XUV300 Recalled Due To Suspension Replacement

Mahindra has voluntarily recalled specific units of XUV300 due to a fault in the suspension setup. The owners will be notified by their dealerships.

Specific units of Mahindra XUV300 manufactured up to 19th May 2019 have been voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer. The cars affected have a faulty suspension component but only on this selected batch.

The units of Mahindra XUV300 which have been recalled, have been identified and the owners of those cars affected will be notified by their dealerships. The owners will get the parts changed free of cost. The owners can also check online if their car is affected.

Mahindra stops production

The BS-6 compliant version of XUV300 has been spied testing and we are expecting it to be launched at the 2020 Auto Expo. As of now, the compact SUV comes with a 1.2 Litre petrol and a 1.5 Litre diesel engine, with a 6-speed manual gearbox and AMT gearbox as standard.

The 1.2 Litre turbo-petrol engine produces 110PS and 200 Nm of torque. With BS-6 engines incoming, the same engine will produce around 20 PS and 30 Nm more. The diesel engine will continue to produce 110 PS and 300 Nm of torque.

Mahindra XUV300 is based on the Ssangyong Tivoli, which recently got a facelift. The Tivoli facelift got retweaked front and rear bumpers new headlamps and different alloy wheels. However, since the XUV300 is a new launch in India, it would not receive any styling updates.

Features onboard include front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, electric sunroof, LED headlamps with DRLs, Rear AC vents and Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control.

As of now, the prices of XUV300 start off at Rs 8.10 Lakhs up to Rs 12.69 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The introduction of BS-6 engines will increase the prices by a considerable amount, most likely by Rs 30,000 and more.

At the 2020 Auto Expo, Mahindra is going to showcase the new-generations of Scorpio, Thar and XUV500. All these three models will get new platforms, new engines and a completely new design language.
