Classic Legends have confirmed that the waiting period for Jawa motorcycles is still up to 5 months. The production capacity, however, has been increased.
Recently, reports came in suggesting that the waiting period for Jawa motorcycles is down to 10-15 days at some dealerships. For that, Jawa has cleared the doubts regarding the waiting period. It has snubbed all these rumours in a social media post.
In the post, Classic Legends also confirmed that the waiting period for Jawa Motorcycles is still up to FIVE months. In comparison to 6-7 months back, the waiting period has reduced a lot. There was a time when the waiting period was for over a year.
Also, the manufacturer has decided to speed up the production of Jawa motorcycles. Reports suggest that the capacity has now been doubled up to nearly 4500-5000 units a month, which will soon further lower the waiting period.

Jawa and Jawa Forty Two use a 293cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 26 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Also, the engine is BS-4 compliant now and soon, they will get the BS-6 update.
The suspension of both the bikes is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. Braking is handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the back with single-channel ABS. Jawa also offers rear disc brake and dual-channel ABS for a premium of Rs 9,000.
Recently, Classic Legends introduced the online waiting period checker for Jawa Motorcycles. You have to put your booking id and name on the tool and it will give you an estimated delivery date. Going by the public opinions, the online checker gives a correct estimate.

Meanwhile, Jawa has also launched the Perak, priced at Rs 1.89 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The factory-custom Bobber motorcycle gets a bigger 332cc engine and a slightly revised rear suspension. The deliveries for Perak are expected to commence by early next year.
