This time of the year sees a cyclical increase in price from most carmakers in the country. Most carmakers usually announce new prices for next year at around this time. Howver , Maruti tells us that this increase is due to an increase in various input costs. Now that is quite obvious given the present situation of the industry.

The move is expected to help the brand increase sales in the last month of the year. This year has been quite difficult fort most carmakers and even Maruti has seen its overall sales come down from before. Maruti recorded decline in year-on-year sales for many consecutive months but they still have been able to retain the top spot on the sales chart throughout.
