Tata is Offering Four Customization Packages for the Altroz!

The customization packages for the Tata Altroz are Rhythm, Style, Luxe and Urban – all of which add various cosmetic bits and comfort and convenience features to the cabin.

After months of waiting Tata Motors has finally unveiled the Altroz premium hatchback. We will be sharing our review of the car soon, so watch this space for more, but meanwhile Tata Motors intends to pitch this car to a young customer base and wants to provide a customised buying experience too. In this attempt, Tata is offering various customization packages across all the five variants ( XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ (O) ) of the Altroz that will add select features on specific trims. Its a first for any mass market Indian carmaker and the customization packages for the Tata Altroz are – Rhythm, Style, Luxe and Urban. Let’s take a closer look at what each package brings to the table.

Rhythm Pack

The Rhythm customization package will be offered on the entry-level XE and XM trims on the Tata Altroz. This package will essentially bring comfort features like a 3.5-inch infotainment systm, four speakers, dual horn and remote key on the base XE variant. On the XM version, the Rhythm pack adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, four speakers and two tweeters, dual horn, remote key, and reverse camera with display.

Style Pack

The Style package is available on the XM trim of the Tata Altroz. This package adds 16-inch wheel covers over the steel wheels, contrast dual-tone black roof, body coloured ORVMs, chrome air vents, front fog lamps with DRLs. As the name already suggest, the Style pack is primarily for cosmetic upgrades to the car and does not add anything on the features front to the car.

Luxe Pack

The Luxe customization package is only offered on the mid-spec XT trim of the Tata Altroz. This pack adds 16-inch steel wheels with more stylish wheel covers, blacked out roof, body coloured ORVMs, chrome door handles and rear fog lamps on the exterior. The cabin gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, four-way adjustable driver’s seat and a rear armrest.

Urban Pack

Lastly, there’s an Urban pack which is only offered on the XZ of the Altroz. This trim is one below the top-spec XZ(O) trim and it brings a contrast black roof, body coloured ORVMs, centre console inserts and AC vents bezel to the Altroz.

The Altroz gets a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder oil-burner. The petrol engine is from the Tiago but the diesel engine is a detuned version of the one on Nexon. Both the engines will be BS-6 compliant at the time of the launch. The top trims get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, ambient lighting, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and fog lamps as standard.

Tata Motors is allowing customers to choose the pack in addition to the varinat at the time booking itself. While the basic booking amount of the Altroz has been fixed at Rs. 21,000, if you apt for any of the customization packages, the booking amount increases to Rs. 31,000. Tata Altroz goes on sale from January 2020 and that’s when Tata will also announce prices for the model. Expect the price to be aggressive and possibly undercut most rivals as well.
