Tata Motors has opened the bookings for Nexon EV at all Tata dealerships. The electric SUV is going to be priced between Rs 15-17 Lakhs.
Tata Nexon EV has been unveiled in India, as the third electric SUV in India, after MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona. The date of the launch is not revealed yet but we expect it to be launched near the Auto Expo 2020.
Tata Motors has commenced the bookings for the Nexon EV for a token of Rs 21,000. You can book the EV at all Tata dealerships. The prices will be announced soon, but the manufacturer has confirmed that it will be priced between Rs 15-17 Lakhs.
The EV gets a 30.2 kWh IP67-rated lithium-ion battery pack, with 8 years or 1.6 Lakhs kms warranty, which is lower. The electric motor is capable of producing 129 PS and 245 Nm of peak torque, with two driving modes – Drive and Sport.

Tata Motors is yet to declare the exact driving range but it will be more than 300 kms. For charging the EV, the regular AC charger will take around 8-9 hours. The DC fast charger should charge the EV from 0-80% in just an hour.
The Nexon EV gets a complete makeover with a completely refreshed exterior. The bumpers are sharper now and so is the new headlamp design. You also get new alloy wheels which are lighter than the previous one.
Features onboard include hill assist function, Automatic LED headlamps with LED DRLs, electric sunroof, Push Start Button, Wearable Key, Rain Sensing Wipers, Touchscreen Infotainment system by Harmon Kardon, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Brake Energy Regeneration. The EV comes in three variants – XM, XZ and XZ+ Luxury.

Safety features onboard include dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, Speed Alert System and Seat Belt Reminder. For the safety of the battery pack, it comes with IP67 rating, adaptive to dust, moisture and water.
