The BS6 KTM Duke 250 will see a hike in price by only Rs. 4,000 over its BS4 spec model and KTM will also introduce two new colors on the motorcycle.
KTM just launched the BS6 complaint 390 Adventure in India a couple of days ago. Now, the Duke 250 becomes the first existing motorcycle from KTM to be updated to comply with the BS6 emission norms. According to a report by Zigwheels, the BS6 KTM Duke 250 will come with a price tag of Rs. 2 lakhs. That’s just a hike in price by Rs. 4,000 over the BS4 spec Duke 250.
Bookings for the BS6 KTM Duke 250 are set to commence soon and the motorcycle will hit the dealerships in the coming weeks. The BS6 version of the KTM Duke 250 does not see a significant hike in price over the BS4 spec model primarily because the motorcycle does not see any mechanical changes other than complying with the stricter emission norms. However, there is one particular cosmetic change on the motorcycle though.
With this BS6 update, KTM has introduced two new colors on the Duke 250 – black/orange and grey/black. With the grey/black color scheme, the rear subframe gets painted in grey to match the colour on the tank extensions.

KTM hasn’t yet announced particular specifications of the BS6 spec Duke 250. The 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine made 30bhp and 24Nm in its BS4 spec. Th upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 also use the same engine as the Duke 250. Those motorcycles are already BS6 complaint and they bear the same power and torque figures as the BS4 spec Duke 250. Considering that, we do not expect that the BS6 Duke 250 will see any changes in its output figures.
