BS6 MG Hector is going to be launched in March seeing considerable prices hike. Our sources confirm that the Petrol and Petrol-Hybrid variants will cost up to Rs 60,000 more.
MG is soon going to launch the BS6 compliant Hector, with the prices increasing by a huge margin. Our sources confirmed that some dealerships will soon stop taking bookings for the BS4 Hector and will start unofficial bookings for the BS6 version.
Also, the customers who are yet to receive their cars are also given the option of upgrading to BS6 Hector. All the leftover stock is on the priority to be sold first. We are not sure about the diesel variants but the petrol and petrol-hybrid variants will increase by around Rs 60,000.
Most likely, the BS6 MG Hector petrol prices will increase by around Rs 45,000 and that of the Hybrid variants will increase by around Rs 60,000. Other than the engine upgrade, we are also expecting MG to upgrade its i-Smart touchscreen infotainment of some bugs and minor issues.

As of now, the MG Hector petrol variants range from 12.48 Lakhs up to Rs 17.18 Lakhs. The petrol-hybrid variant is priced from 13.88 Lakhs to Rs 16.28 Lakhs. For reference, the diesel variants start at Rs 13.48 Lakhs up to Rs 17.28 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).
Seeing the petrol price hike, we are expecting Hector diesel to receive a price hike of more than a lakh. The SUV will continue with the same engines only post BS6 norms. It uses a 1.5 Litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0 Litre FCA-sourced turbo-diesel engine.
Soon, MG is also going to launch the 6-seater/7-seater Hector. There will be minor cosmetic upgrades, mostly related to the bumpers and headlamps. Reports suggest it might also see a mild power boost because of its additional bodyweight.
