New Tata Car Spied Testing; Might Be The H2X Micro SUV

New spy shot video has been leaked and looks like Tata has commenced testing the H2X, which will rival the Kwid and S-Presso.

At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, Tata Motors had showcased the H2X micro-SUV. It looked like a hatchback with the styling of an SUV, like the scenario with Mahindra KUV 100, Maruti S-Presso and Renault Kwid. That’s the rivals of H2X.

We are expecting Tata Motors to showcase it at the 2020 Auto Expo, in a production-ready form. Ahead of that, we have a spy shot video of the upcoming Tata H2X. It has been spotted testing on the roads of Pune, where Tata Motors is based.

The spied test mule is under heavy camouflage but gives us an outline of what it could look like. First impressions reveal that it will either look like a cross-hatch or a mini-Nexon. Most likely, the styling will be similar to what we find with the Kwid and S-Presso.

The spotted Tata H2X looks just like a small SUV with tall fenders, a straight shoulder line with a Nexon-like rear spoiler at the back. The front portion looks like it is giving us a hint of its boxy-shape inspired styling. Summarising, the shape that we see is not that different from the concept model.

In the lineup, the H2X will sit above the Tiago but below the Altroz. The prices can be between the 3-6 Lakhs range, slightly higher than the S-Presso and Kwid. The KUV 100 comes a little bit costly, ending around Rs 7 Lakhs. That’s also because it is considerably bigger than the other two.

H2X will come equipped with the 1.2 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Tiago and Altroz. The engine produces 86 BHP and 113 Nm of peak torque on the Altroz and for H2X, the power figures might remain the same. To make things interesting, Tata might offer the turbo petrol engine as well.

Now, we have to just wait for the 2020 Auto Expo, where Tata Motors will showcase a lot of cars. We are expecting a new mid-size SUV (Creta and Seltos rival), facelifts to Tiago and Tigor and the Altroz EV to be showcased, along with more.
