Volkswagen dealerships have now commenced bookings for BS6 Polo ahead of the launch this month. It will get a new 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol TSI engine.
Volkswagen is launching the BS6 Polo in a couple of weeks. The hatch is set to receive a major engine upgrade. Importantly, both its existing engines would not be available post BS6 engine but a completely new engine.
BS6 Volkswagen Polo will get a new 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine. The motor will produce 115 PS and 200 Nm of peak torque. The existing 1.2 Litre turbo petrol and the 1.5 Litre TDI diesel engine, both will be out.
Although, the new turbo motor produces around 10 PS more than the existing turbo petrol engine. The existing 1.0 Litre MPI engine will be continued for the base-spec variants. The turbo petrol engine will only come on the Polo GT Trims.

Now, dealerships across the country have already started accepting bookings for the BS6 Volkswagen Polo. Our dealership sources have given us an estimate of the price hike. They say, the GT variant will get costlier by Rs 40,000 and the regular variants by Rs 25,000 – 30,000.
Also, Volkswagen is discontinuing the famous 7-speed DSG gearbox on Polo. Instead, it will come with the existing 5-speed manual and a 6-speed AT. The DSG gearbox was a premium quality that VW cars possessed but Polo will go further without it.
Dealerships have exhausted BS4 Polo Diesel and Turbo Petrol variants. Most of them are offering their demo or test-drive cars at an impressive discount. However, VW has also officially confirmed the discontinuation of these two engines.
