Both the Haval F5 and the F7 are mid-size SUVs which come with bold styling and feature packed interiors. They are powered by 1.5 liter and 2.0 liter petrol engines.
We have already reported to you that Great Wall Motors will be making their India debut at the 2020 Auto Expo with the Haval and Ora brands. GMW will be showcasing 13 cars at the Auto Expo which includes Haval SUVs and Ora EVs. Now, just ahead of the 2020 Auto Expo, the Haval F5 and F7 have been spied undisguised in India. Here’s your first look at these two upcoming SUVs in India.
The car on the right in this spy image with the orange paint shade is the Haval F5. It debuted in Chinese markets back in 2018 alongside the F7. The Haval F5 is based on the same platform as the Haval H6 (which will also make its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo) and the WEY VV5. The Haval F5 is powered with a 1.5 liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 169PS of power and comes mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. It is also pretty well kitted on the inside as it gets voice recognition, lane departure warning (LDW), and blind-spot monitoring system.
The other car in this image in the shade of red is the Haval F7. The F7 is essentially a mid-size SUV that measures larger than the Kia Seltos but its smaller than the MG Hector. It sits in between the Hector and Seltos in terms of dimensions. The F7 is powered by two turbocharged petrol engines. There’s a 2.0-litre engine that produces 224PS and 385Nm of torque and then there’s also a 1.5-litre engine which is good for 168PS and 285Nm.

In fact, Great Wall Motors teased us with an image sometime ago with an SUV called the Concept H which they are going to debut at the Auto Expo. The F7 essentially appears to be the production version of the Concept H SUV. Just like the F5, the F7 is also based on the same underpinnings as the Haval H6. And like it siblings, it boasts of quite some novel features in the segment including forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Talking about the Haval H6, that is what we expect GMW’s first product in India to be under the Haval brand. This Haval H6 has a design that is very American, with its face resembling Jeep SUVs. It is also expected to be powered by 1.5 liter and 2.0 liter petrol engines with even a 7-speed DCT on offer. Besides this, Great Wall Motors could also showcase the Creta-rivalling H2 and the H9 full-size SUV. We’ll also see the Haval Vision 2025 as a concept showcasing the brand’s future design language.
