Honda has teased the 2020 City sedan ahead of its launch in April. The bookings for the sixth-generation City will commence by the second week of March.
While Honda may have given a miss to the Auto Expo 2020, it has something big planned now. Honda has revealed a new teaser of the sixth-generation 2020 City sedan. While the current City is being sold with a BS6 petrol engine, the new generation will be out in April.
The teaser has just revealed a portion of its front part. The first look tells you that the India-spec 2020 Honda City is very identical to the Thai-spec City. In the Thai market, Honda launched the new-gen City a couple of months back.
The new City gets dual-tone sporty alloy wheels, new and sharper bumpers along with LED headlamps. The overall shape/outline will be different from the current City. The teased model is the RS variant and not the regular one.

In the other market, City is sold in RS Variant as well. It gets some cosmetic tweaks which make it look sportier. Over there, it gets a 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol three-cylinder engine. In the Indian version as well, there are chances of the turbo motor.
Otherwise, the new City will continue with its 1.5 Litre diesel engine and the 1.5 Litre petrol engine. The latter will get a mild-hybrid technology to aid in the start-stop system and initial acceleration. Transmission options might include a 6-speed MT and a CVT, for both the engines.
Differences between the RS variants and regular variants will include the former getting bigger and sportier 16-inch alloy wheels, LED Projector headlamps, all-black interiors and different colour options. The regular variants will get 15-inch alloys, projector headlamps and dual-tone black-beige theme.

As of now, the prices for BS6 Honda City petrol start off at Rs 9.91 Lakhs to Rs 14.31 Lakhs. The diesel variants are priced from Rs 11.11 Lakhs to Rs 14.21 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). The range-topping variants are expected to cross Rs 15 Lakhs.
