Hyundai has now unveiled the new Tucson at the 2020 Auto Expo. The update just comes in the form of a facelift with tweaked exterior styling and BS6 engines.
Hyundai has commenced its unveilings at the 2020 Auto Expo with the new Tucson. The SUV gets a mid-cycle facelift with changes to the styling, addition of new features and BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines.
Changes in the styling include the new and larger Hyundai’s cascading grille design. Then there are new projector LED headlamps, DRLs, fog lamp housing and refreshed bumpers as well. The design is now inspired by the latest Hyundai cars.
Inside the cabin, there are subtle changes made to the upholstery design and dashboard theme, with new all black interiors. The Blue Link technology of Elantra facelift also comes on the New Hyundai Tucson. Just like the pre-facelift version, the new Tucson manages to show its upmarket cabin.
Under the hood, 2020 Hyundai Tucson gets the same petrol and diesel engines. It continues with a 2.0 Litre petrol and a 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 155 PS and 192 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 185 BHP and 400 Nm of peak torque.
For transmission, both the engines come with the option of either a 6-speed MT and a new 8-speed torque converter AT. The Tucson also gets 4WD system now with Automatic Cornering Traction Control.
New features onboard include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Mirror Link, Adaptive Cruise Control, Hyundai Blue Link, powered passenger seat adjustment, Advanced Tyre Pressure Monitoring System and Wireless Charger.
Safety features on the new Tucson include six airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Downhill Brake Control, Front And Rear Parking sensors with a rearview camera.
It goes against the likes of Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan and Honda CR-V. Hyundai is expected to launch the new Tucson in a couple of months.
