The premuim MPV segment in India is seeing a lot of action lately. Mercedes-Benz has launched several iterations of the V-Class over the last few months and recently, we also saw the Kia Carnival coming into our market at the bottom end of the premium MPV segment. We had already reported to you about Toyota bringing the Vellfire to India and now, the company has announced that they will be launching this premium MPV in India on February 26.
The Vellfire is an executive luxury MPV that will come to our shores via the CBU route under the Indian government’s relaxed homologation rule. The Vellfire is essentially a more premium version of the same and it gets unique front and rear design and more features on the inside, along with added creature comforts. The Vellfire will be available in India in a single fully-loaded trim and is expected to have an ex-showroom price of about Rs. 80 lakhs.
