Honda is going to launch the BS6 2020 WRV Petrol And Diesel in the coming week. The crossover will also get some minor tweaks done.
Honda has finally given us some lead on the BS6 compliant WRV. The company has put out a teaser for it, indicating that there are some minor updates along with new engines. So, again, there is no update yet on the BS6 Honda Jazz.
BS6 Honda WRV gets a slightly different front grille, possibly tweaks to the alloy wheels, new LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs. Our dealership sources confirm that the bookings just began for it today at select Honda showrooms.
Mostly, the WRV will continue with its same 1.2 Litre four-cylinder petrol and the 1.5 Litre four-cylinder diesel engine. Both the engines also come on the Jazz and Amaze. The latter has already been updated, so the Jazz should also get BS6 engines in a week or two.

The petrol engine produces 90 BHP and 110 Nm of peak torque. The iDTEC diesel engine puts out 100 BHP and 200 Nm of peak torque. Earlier, the WRV only got manual gearbox as standard, a 5-speed MT for the petrol and a 6-speed MT for the diesel. There are chances of it finally getting an automatic gearbox, probably a CVT for both the engines.
WRV is basically a hatchback-SUV crossover with its length under 4 metres. It is costlier than the Jazz and is usually considered in the compact SUV league. Also, because it has a considerable good ground clearance and heavy body cladding all around.
Features on the BS6 WRV will remain the same with electric sunroof, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, start-stop push-button, touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, Rear AC Vents, Front and rear defogger and more.
Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera with three different views, Day/Night IRVM, speed alert system, front passengers seat belt reminder and Engine Immobilizer.

The current prices of WRV start off at Rs 8.08 Lakhs up to Rs 9.35 Lakhs for the petrol variants. The diesel variants start off at Rs 9.16 Lakhs up to Rs 10.48 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom). If Honda is actually planning to put an automatic option for WRV, it could see a slight boost in the sales.
