Which Is The Best Value For Money Diesel Variant Of 2020 Hyundai Verna?

2020 Hyundai Verna has been launched in India with prices starting at Rs 9.31 Lakhs. The top-end diesel-AT variant goes up to Rs 15 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Verna gets a facelift upgrade, nearly three years after the new generation sedan was launched in India. The overall styling remains similar to the pre-facelift version with some tweaks done to the bumpers, alloy wheels and headlamp design.

This upgrade has made the 2020 Hyundai Verna even more value for money product. It still remains the most feature-rich sedan in the segment carrying a couple of segment-first features as well. However, there is a specific variant which seems to be the best value for money.

The SX variant of 2020 Hyundai Verna Diesel is our choice for the best value for money diesel variant right now. It gets most of the features that come on the top-end variant just missing out on a couple of safety tech. Also, it is cheaper than its next variant by nearly Rs 2 Lakhs.

2020 Hyundai Verna Diesel SX Variant – Rs 12.05 Lakhs

The SX variant is the second in line and gets most of the features that Verna boasts off. Compared to the top-spec trims, it just misses out on LED headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, telescopic steering, Blue Link technology and Ventilated Seats. Blue Link is the new Internet-Connected Car Tech which allows remote operation of the Verna through your mobile phone.

In terms of safety, the 2020 Hyundai Verna SX Diesel variant gets:

The next SX(O) diesel variant is priced at Rs 13.94 Lakhs. However, you can still get the SX AT variant which goes for Rs 13.20 Lakhs. Costlier than the manual variant by Rs 1.15 Lakhs but still cheaper than the SX(O) variant by Rs 80,000. The top-end diesel variant goes up to Rs 15.09 Lakhs (all prices ex-showroom).

Hyundai Verna diesel uses the 1.5 Litre unit from Seltos. The motor produces 115 PS and 255 Nm of peak torque, while mated to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. Other two options include a 1.5 Litre petrol and a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.
