1. Mahindra Scorpio Getaway – Italy
For some time, Mahindra sold the pickup Getaway version of the Scorpio. It was sold in a commercial form as well as a lifestyle vehicle. While it found very few takers in India, the Getaway made it big in the beautiful country of Italy. There, it serves as a police car used for group operations.
2. Tata Safari – Algeria
The good old Safari made it really big in Algeria and is now serving as one of the main police cars. Tata entered the Algerian market in 2014 with Indica, Indigo, Manza, Aria and Safari. While we received these cars much early, many of them are still sold in that country.
3. Mahindra Enforcer (Bolero Camper) – Phillipines And Bhutan
Mahindra still sells the Enforcer or the Bolero Camper in a couple of South-East Asian countries. In the Philippines and Bhutan, it has made to the police force. In India, the Bolero came with two pickup versions including Camper and Invader, the latter being a lifestyle model.
4. Mahindra XUV500 – South Africa
One of the most popular midsize SUVs in India, Mahindra XUV500 is also big in South Africa. Mahindra has a lot of cars in the South African market. The XUV500 is their daily police car just like we have the Maruti Gypsy.
5. Mahindra Scorpio – Philippines, Sri Lanka and Maldives
This is the fourth Mahindra SUV in the list. Scorpio is a very popular car in African and many South East Asian countries. In the countries of Philippines, Sri Lanka and Maldives, the tall-boy is their daily enforcer. Even a couple of states in India use the Scorpio as a police car, mainly used as an interceptor.
