Hyundai has launched CNG versions of the BS6 Grand i10 Nios available in two variants with its price starting from Rs 6.63 lakh, ex-showroom.
Even amidst this lockdown, Hyundai has finally launched the CNG variant of the Grand i10 Nios. The BS6 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG will be available in two variants, Magna and Sportz, with the former being available for a price of Rs 6.63 lakh while the Sportz variant has been priced at Rs 7.16 lakh, all prices, ex-showroom Delhi. As of now, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Ford are the only manufacturers that offer factory-fitting CNG kits with their cars.
The Grand i10 Nios CNG uses the same BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine under its hood from the standard model. However, this engine now produces 69bhp and 95Nm of peak torque when run on CNG. In comparison, the engine now makes 14hp and 19Nm of torque lesser than when it is run on petrol. The engine will only come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of features, there have been no changes in these trims as compared to their petrol counterparts. The Magna variant offers features like central locking, speed-sensing door locks, day/night IRVM, keyless entry, tilt adjustable steering, rear AC vents, 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth support, and more. The Sportz trim additionally gets features like projector fog lights, reverse parking camera, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
