TVS has finally launched the BS6 version of the popular Scooty Pep Plus and it is about Rs 6,500 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart depending on the variant.
TVS has launched the BS6 Scooty Pep Plus in India, with its price starting from Rs 51,574 (ex-showroom Delhi). With the BS6 update, the Scooty Pep Plus is about Rs 6,400 to Rs 6,700 more than its BS4 predecessor. TVS will continue to offer the scooter in three variants – Scooty Pep Plus Series BS6, Babelicious Series BS6, and Matte Edition Series BS6. Here’s a detailed price list of the BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus
Variant | Price (ex-showroom Delhi) | Difference to BS4 variant |
Scooty Pep Plus Series BS6 | Rs 51,574 | Rs 6,700 |
Babelicious Series BS6 | Rs 52,954 | Rs 6,400 |
Matte Edition Series BS6 | Rs 52,954 | Rs 6,400 |
TVS hasn’t revealed any another details about the scooter other than just revealing its new price. Keeping in mind the hike in price which is quite significant, we expect the Scooty Pep Plus will now be fuel-injected like all the BS6 two-wheelers. The Scooty Pep Plus is powered by a 87.8cc motor that delivers 5PS and 5.8Nm. However, the updated engine could see a slight drop in figures due to compliance with newer emission norms.
Other than the BS6 compliance, we are not aware of any other changes on the BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus. The design and features from the BS4 model will be carried forward to the BS6 model but this is a good opportunity for TVS to introduce some changes on the scooter to give it a fresh appeal. It has been on our roads for quite some time now and some new features or a styling update would really help the case of the scooter.

The Scooty Pep Plus already gets features such as LED DRL, smartphone charger, and side-stand alarm. The underpinnings of the scooter will also most likely remain unchanged. The Scooty Pep Plus gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear. Braking duties are taken care by 110mm drum brakes at both ends. The fuel tank capacity of the scooter could also differ from 5 liters of the BS4-spec model.

TVS is however still left to update the Zest 110 and also the Victor among their motorcycles.
