Tata Nexon was India’s first 5-star safety rating car with the very strong build quality and a stable body structure. Here’s a Nexon with a life-threatening accident.
Till now, we have seen a lot of accidents involving the Tata Nexon and its strong build quality. Once we have seen it falling a cliff, once crashing into a tree at very high speed and a lot more scenarios. Here we have a video where you can see an electric polo falls on the top of Nexon and its results will completely shock you.
This Tata Nexon was parked in an open enclosure amidst heavy thunderstorms. After a couple of minutes, the owner returns to his car with a passenger on the front side. Just about they are about to start the car, lightning strikes the electric pole just in front of the car. Due to the impact, the polo falls on the top on Nexon and the owners are trapped inside.
As you can see, the pole has fallen more towards the passenger side. The driver manages to open the door and escape. The passenger cannot open his door but with help of some people, manages to come out from the driver side. This tells us the strong quality of components used and how the roof was not completely damaged.

The car has surely been damaged to a big extent but not as high as we would have expected. We all know how heavy an electric pole can be and despite that, one of the doors could open easily. To top it, all the occupants remained unhurt. NCAP crash tests show the front and side impact of the car in a crash but this video tests the roof of the car as well.
Now, Nexon is the third safest car in India following Altroz at the second place and Mahindra XUV300 at the first. In crash tests, a car with dummies inside crashes into a wall at a speed of 64 km/hr. On the basis of that, we can see how much impact has reached the occupants inside. Accordingly, the ratings for adult and child occupants are decided.
Nexon gets two engine options including a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.5 Litre turbo-diesel. The petrol engine produces 120 PS, making it one of the most powerful compact SUVs. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox, both for the petrol and diesel cars.
