Here’s a Modified Bajaj Dominar 400 That Looks Stunning as a Scrambler!

This Bajaj Dominar 400 has been modified in the Philippines and it has been made to look stunning as a scrambler. There are no mechanical changes however.

Many of you may not be knowing this but the Philippines is a major export market for Bajaj Auto and the Dominar also happens to be on sale there. We thus came across this beautifully modified Bajaj Dominar 400 on the internet which has been styled to look like a scrambler. Customized by MC Customs ph, a custom house based in Las Pinas, Philippines, this Bajaj Dominar has been very tastefully modified indeed.

Dubbed at the ‘Lino’ project, this mod on the Dominar retains some of its original naked streetfighter parts, and then adds on some more elements to give it a scrambler look. These include an aftermarket round LED headlamp, round mirrors, raised handlebar, bar-end turn signals, dual-purpose tyres, custom diamond-stitched tan seats with matching handle grips, along with a gloss black paint finish.

There have been no mechanical changes to the motorcycle however.

Mind you, this a pre-facelift Dominar 400 that has been modified here. Also, the custom job does not include much change to any other body panels like the fuel tank, engine cowl, tank extensions or even the tail section. Even the wheels are identical to the stock motorcycle. There have been no modifications on the mechanical front either. It continues to be powered by a 373cc, liquid-cooled, fuel injection SOHC single cylinder engine.

In this spec, the engine belts out 35PS of power and 35Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch. The India-spec Bajaj Dominar 400 however produces about 40PS of power but the same 35Nm of peak torque. Like we mentioned before, this a pre-facelift version of the Dominar that has been modified here and the old-spec engine had a maximum power output of 35PS.

Bajaj recently launched the BS6 Dominar in India for a price of Rs 1.91 lakh and sometime ago, Bajaj even launched a Dominar 250 to make the Dominar nameplate a little more accessible and popular among the masses. We love the new Bajaj Dominar 400 but we are yet to test its younger cousin, the Dominar 250. You should watch out for our review once the lockdown has been lifted.
