Here’s one of the rarest low rider Ford Figo that we have in India. There’s a video of the owner checking out its air suspension setup.
Ford Figo is another auto enthusiast’s budget car that has a selective group of fans. Known for its punchy and torquey engines, great handling and the good build quality appeals only to a certain group of buyers. Research says that Figo Diesel is better preferred than its petrol.
Here’s a rare modified version of the Ford Figo Diesel that’s a lowrider. As usual, such whacky modified cars are found in the state of Kerala. This one does not get too many tweaks done but just about right to catch everyone’s attention.

Further, it gets a custom wrap with black as the base colour and Blue stripes on the rear-side portion. For performance, it gets BMC Intake filter. The rims are 16 inch 5J rims wrapped in 205/45/16 rubber. Simple yet tasty.
This modified Ford Figo is a diesel unit with a 1.5 Litre TDCI motor. The intake filter has increased the power figures slightly. This engine produces 100 PS and 215 Nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. There was no automatic gearbox on offer with this engine.
Other than this, Figo also gets a 1.2 litre petrol engine that produces 96 PS and 120 Nm of peak torque. Earlier, it also came with a 1.5 Litre petrol engine that produced 123 PS and 150 Nm of peak torque, only paired with a 6-speed AT. However, post the BS6 norms, this engine has been discontinued.

Ford has upgrade Figo, Freestyle and Aspire, all with BS6 compliant engines. Figo and Aspire have lost their automatic gearbox and its engine along with some features. The price of Figo now starts at Rs 5.39 Lakhs up to Rs 7.85 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
