Hyundai Creta 7-Seater Render Offers a Clear Look at the Upcoming SUV

The Hyundai Creta 7-seater was spied some time ago and based on that, here’s a rendering that offers a really great look at how the upcoming SUV could be styled.

We have already reported to you that Hyundai is working on a seven-seater version of the Creta and it was recently spied internationally as well. The spotted test mule was however heavily camouflaged but we could still make out certain design elements of the SUV. To give you a better perspective of what you can expect from the 7-seater Hyundai Creta, here’s a great rendering of the same.

On the face itself, the first thing you notice is that the grille is different with a more premium design with Mercedes-Benz like chrome stud inserts on the grille. In fact, this rendering is based on the spotted test mule which actually boasted of this new grille design. The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will also have front parking sensors which the standard Creta loses out on.

In profile, the larger length is immediately noticeable. Although the overall shape seems largely similar to the five-seater Creta, the roof is flatter and the C-Pillar is slimmer as well. The C-Pillar is also now followed by a decent size quarter rear window. We have also seen some rear-spy shots of the 7-seater Creta and the tail section looks significantly different from the standard Creta. It gets completely new and simpler tail lamp design. The tail gate itself looks more upright and a bit taller as well.

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will most likely have a wheelbase 20mm longer than that of the 5-seater Creta. The standard Creta has a wheelbase of the 2610mm and we expect its larger sibling to have a wheelbase of 2630mm. It will also have a longer rear overhang by about 10mm and thus the overall length of the SUV will be 30mm more than the standard model. Under the hood, the 7-seater will mostly get the same engines that come on the new Creta. That will include the 1.5 Litre petrol and diesel engines along with the 1.4 Litre turbo petrol option. The transmission options might also remain the same.

The 7-seater Hyundai Creta will rival the likes of the Tata Gravitas and the MG Hector Plus, both of which will soon see their launch in India. The 7-seat Creta will sit above the 5-seat version and below the yet-to-be-revealed next-gen Hyundai Tucson in the brand’s global line-up. With seven seats on offer, Hyundai will further take the appeal of the Creta in India. After all, we love big burly SUVs that can carry our entire family at once and this could definitely be a hit in the Indian market.
