This Aviation-Themed BMW R NineT is Like Nothing You have Seen Before!

Ziller Garage from Moscow has custom build a BMW R NineT and it looks straight out of Batman’s garage. It is loaded with slick party tricks up its sleeve.

If you are familiar with the BMW R nineT, you would know its an extremely stylish looking motorcycle and one that is extremely modification friendly. Well, here’s a BMW R nineT like you have never seen before. This retro-looking motorcycle has been given a whole new character by Zillers Garage from Moscow with their latest aviation-themed custom build.

This custom build is so bespoke that its hard to believe this motorcycle began life as a BMW R nineT. It has been envisioned by Dmitry Golubchikov, one who runs this custom house. The fully custom bodywork looks like a single piece of panel curving its way around the entire motorcycle and is extremely aerodynamic too. The entire bodywork has been handbuilt with aluminum and took 10 months to finish the entire project.

Another neat design highlight has to be the fairing around the LED headlamps and flows cleanly into the fuel tank section. To eliminate the unevenness of a motorcycle around the handle bar and instrument cluster area, the curvy fairing around the headlamps hides all the uneven portions to give the motorcycle a neat silhouette. You must be thinking that the clip-on handle bars will have little degree of movement through those small holes in the fairing but practicality must have been the last word of concern while building this motorcycle. The custom wheels also look stunning, don’t they?

In fact, the handlebars along with the tank-mounted switchgear, footpegs, clutch and brake master cylinders have all been custom made. There’a also a minimalistic digital speedometer mounted on the fuel tank. You can also see that the motorcycle is scrapping its under belly on the ground. Well, the lower portion of the motorcycle has actually been designed to be flat so that it also doubles up as a stand to keep the motorcycle upright while stationary.

As it turns out, the inverted front forks and the BMW Paralever rear monoshock has been designed to lift the motorcycle off the ground using a custom pneumatic actuation system when it gets going. Now that’s quite novel. The custom house has also had to rework all the electricals of the motorcycle to keep the body work clean.

The powertrain however has been kept intact. It is powered by a 1,170cc boxer twin air-cooled engine with oil cooler that produces 110bhp of power and 119.3Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch. The engine is quite a sight sticking out of the clean body work like that. Doesn’t this motorcycle look like it fits perfectly in Batman’s garage?
