This Ford EcoSport met with a major accident a couple of years ago. Even now, the SUV is running in good shape without any high maintenance.
Usually, after a car goes through a major accident, it starts to give problems gradually. Be it engine problems or suspension noises and such. Most of the people then try to sell it off at cheap prices which makes them high losses.
Well, here’s an example of a Ford EcoSport which has managed to evade all the losses. The owner had a huge accident when the car was just 8,000 kilometres old. In order to save an auto-rickshaw coming from the wrong side, the car went over a divider and then rolled over.
The accident occurred at a speed of 100-110 km/hr which shows the intensity. However, the owner says that despite SUV rolling over a couple of times, they escaped with just some bruises and scratches. That shows the strong and dependable build quality of EcoSport.

Further, the car was completely damaged from the front. The engine, front bumpers, doors and the axle, all were damaged. One tyre literally came out of because the axle was broken off. There was no major damage to the rear portion as well as the roof.
The owner got all of this fixed with an insurance claim of Rs 5 Lakhs. This high claim amount for a car that is worth 11-12 Lakhs. You imagine the damage. It took a couple of months to get the car fixed but now, the owner has another update for you.
The Ford EcoSport has been driven for more than 2.25 Lakh kilometres till now. It has literally run over 2 Lakh kilometres since the accident. The owner says he has not experienced any trouble with the car over the years. The maintenance is the usual that any EcoSport owner pays and not a single part has given any major problem since then.

This shows if a car has good and sturdy quality of materials used, it will keep the owner’s safe and the maintenance low. Same goes with Ford, which is known for keeping its owner’s safe and also being fairly light on their pockets.
