For the price of a 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS, you can buy several other motorcycles ranging from supersports to cruisers. Check them out here.
Triumph launched the 2020 Street Triple RS in India a coupe of days ago for a price of Rs 11.13 lakh, ex-showroom. Although the motorcycle has received a considerable set of upgrades, Triumph has kept the price of the motorcycle same as the BS4-spec model. The Triumph Street Triple is a sensational motorcycle and perhaps one of the best performance motorcycles you can buy for this much money. However, there are a few other motorcycles of varying genres available for about the same amount of money in India. Here’s we have compiled a list of all the other motorcycles you can buy for the price of a 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS.
BMW F 750 GS
The Street Triple is a great machine for the tarmac but are you looking at something that can be a little more versatile? Then the BMW F 750 GS is a great adventure tourer that is also plenty capable off the road. It is powered by a 853cc parallel-twin engine that produces 77bhp and is available for a price of Rs 11.95 lakh. However, this motorcycle is still in its BS4 spec and the BS6 update is yet to arrive. Expect BMW to launch the same once the lockdown has been lifted with a slight premium in price.
Harley Davidson Forty Eight Special
If neither adventure tourers nor naked sportbikes are of your taste, how about a true blue American hot rod? Harley Davidson retails the Forty Eight Special in India for a price of Rs 10.98 lakh and it is powered by a shouty V-Twin 1200cc engine that produces 97Nm of torque. Harley Davidson does not quote power figures but they are quite vocal about their torque-ey engines. Harley Davidson dealers are even accepting orders via phone calls in these lockdown times.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is one of few middle-weight 600cc supersport motorcycles you can buy in the country. It is powered by a screaming 636cc inline-four cylinder engine that produces a manic 130bhp of power. Its performance and handling has always wowed enthusiasts. It available for a price of Rs 10.49 lakh but we must mention that it still has not been updated for its BS6 compliance. With the 600cc superbike segment on a resurgence in India, expect Kawasaki to update the motorcycle soon.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster
Not just the Street Triple RS but Triumph even has a cruiser for the same amount of money – the stunningly beautiful Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. Just like the Harley Forty Eight Eight Special, even this cruiser is powered by a 1200cc engine but instead of a V-Twin, instead of parallel twin engine with 77bhp. It is based on the single-seater Bonneville Bobber but has space for two and is supreme comfortable at that. Triumph sells the Bonneville Speedmaster for a price of Rs 11.34 lakh and its already BS6 compliant.

Yamaha MT-09
The last motorcycle on this list is the only genuine competitor for the Street Triple RS and it is the Yamaha MT-09. It is powered by a 847cc inline three cylinder engine that produces 115 bhp of power and has a reputation of being a bit of a hooligan. It is however a sensational motorcycle in itself and Yamaha sells the MT-09 in India for a price of Rs 10.55 lakh. The BS6 version of this motorcycle is however yet to arrive in India and you can expect it to be marginally more expensive.
