Bajaj has hiked the price of all its BS6 motorcycles starting from the Pulsar family, to the commuter motorcycles and even the Dominar and Avenger series. We believe this is a continued effect of the BS6 transition.

Bajaj’s commuter range of motorcycles see the least hike in price of an average of about Rs 500. That has in turn allowed them to keep the overall prices very low and the hike is not significant either.

Lastly, BS6 Bajaj Dominar and Avenger Range Prices :
Model | New Price | Old Price | Difference |

Bajaj’s cruiser range of motorcycles also see a similar price hike like the Pulsar family in the range of Rs 2500-3000. What’s surprising is that the Dominar’s price has gone up by Rs 3000 which is almost double of what the motorcycle saw with its BS6 update. It’s almost unimaginable now that the Dominar was first launched for a price of Rs 1.36 lakh.

While the manufacturer has stated no particular reason for these hike in prices, we believe this is a continued effect of the BS6 transition. Bajaj is known to introduce their motorcycles at a competitive price point to gain the audience attention and then gradually increment it over time. In an attempt to offset the costs of revamping its entire lineup, Bajaj is trying to soften the blow of the BS6 increment by spreading it over a bunch of small increments instead of one big hike in price.
