Going by the reviews online, KTM RC 390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 are your best bet. Both their ex-showroom prices are under Rs 3 Lakhs and both are amazing at their own places. Here’s a race between them to help you in this confusion. Take a look at it once!

One is a stock KTM RC 390 while the Ninja 300 gets a customized performance exhaust muffler. In the starting, you can see that RC 390 gets a clear head start. You can see both the bikes crossing 150 km/hr speed easily. On Ninja 300, you can see it reaching 187 km/hr. That’s something that will make you proud if you are a Ninja owner.

KTM RC 390 manages to stay ahead for most of the time, but towards the finish, it loses out to Kawasaki Ninja 300 on top-speed. You can see the latter wins the race by just a whisker. We are not sure if how much has the exhaust setup helped in this, but still, RC 390 is slightly more powerful than Ninja.

As for the KTM sportsbike, it gets a 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, that produces 43 BHP and 35 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The on-paper top-speed of RC 390 is 167 km/hr but we can clearly see it touching that limit. On papers, it is quicker as well as lighter than the Ninja.

The Japanese, on the other hand, gets a 296cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is good for 39 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. It gets a 6-speed gearbox. The claimed top speed of the Ninja 300 is 180 km/hr. The RC goes from 0-100 km/hr in 5.9 seconds, whereas Ninja 300 does the same in 6.6 seconds. A small but noticeable difference.
