Check out this video where the owner has shared what problems he faced after doing the first servicing of his BS6 KTM Duke 390.
KTM launched the BS6 Duke 390 towards the start of this year itself. Along with an updated engine, the naked bike got new colours and minor styling tweaks. It is now priced at Rs 2.52 Lakhs (Ex-showroom), making it just Rs 5,000 costlier than the BS4 Spec. All KTM bikes have now been upgraded to BS6 norms.
Here is a video of a guy who just got back his BS6 KTM Duke 390 after the first servicing. After just riding for some days, he noticed that his bike was giving some major problems. First he noticed that the engine was getting off itself quickly. He can be seen riding at low speed on second gear which would be one obvious reason, but is actually not.

Then he says that even at standstill, the bike is running at high RPM. You can see that even in the neutral gear, it is running at 4000 RPM. Usually, bikes stay between 1000-1500 RPM while on neutral. Further, he has also complained that the bike does not start in first or second gear but only on neutral gear.
Due to these problems, the bike stops suddenly while riding. We are expecting some issues with the side stand sensor as issues in the throttle regulator. Since the BS6 Duke 390 gets ride-by-wire throttle system, its mechanism is more complexed and different. A visit to the service centre might help in this.
Seeing the video, we can see a lot of people complaining about the throttle regulator and how they also have the same problem. To clarify, this is not a big issue but just some malfunction. If you go to a service center, the issue might be resolved in just a couple of hours. We are not sure if it would be chargeable or covered under warranty.

BS6 KTM Duke 390 continues with its same 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 43.5 PS and 37 Nm of peak torque, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter. It also gets a new Supermoto Mode that allows the ABS and traction control to be switched off, for a better riding experience.
