According to a new report, the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and other bikes will go all modern with new connectivity features.
Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the new Meteor 350 cruiser in India. We could see a possible launch in a couple of months itself, once the nationwide lockdown is over. Royal Enfield has updated all its models with BS6 engines except the Thunderbird series. Meteor comes in as a replacement for the Thunderbird itself.
A new report suggests that finally, Royal Enfield will go a bit modern this time. The Meteor 350 and all the upcoming future RE motorcycles will get a Bluetooth-connected digital speedometer and inbuilt turn-by-turn GPS navigation. It will come as standard fitment on every future RE motorcycle.

The owners can see the riding data, fuel reading and many other statistics through the smartphone itself. We are expecting the bikes to also get call and message notification on the speedometer itself. Turn-by-turn navigation will not be through Google Maps. After entering the location on your phone, the speedometer will automatically show you the directions.
This marks the new age of Royal Enfield motorcycles because these premium features are slowly coming in every other motorcycle. To improve its sales, RE is taking necessary steps to bring new and cheaper motorcycles along with more features on its existing models. In the case with Meteor 350, it will be cheaper than the Classic 350 as well.
Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will get a heavily revised BS6 compliant 350cc engine with slightly altered power figures. Mechanical changes will be done to the frame and swingarm setup. The suspension setup will remain the same but will receive some tweaks for a more comfortable ride. Reports also suggest that it will be a lot lighter than the existing RE motorcycles.

RE is also working on many new motorcycles catering to a different set of buyers. Possible ones include a Roadster, a Scrambler and a new motorcycle based on the platform of the 650 Twins. It has successfully launched BS6 compliant 650 Twins, Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Himalayan. Due to the emission norms, RE has not updated the 500cc engines.
