The deliveries of new 2020 Hyundai Verna have commenced across India however some cities have a substantial waiting period of more than a month.

Hyundai launched the new Verna in the middle of lockdown and its online bookings commenced at that time as well. Now, we can confirm that the deliveries of the new sedan have already commenced in most of the cities. The dealerships started opening a couple of weeks ago, but the deliveries started off just some days back.

However, many cities are facing a waiting period of a month or two, depending on the variant booked. Mostly, Tier-II cities are facing waiting period. Most of the metro cities have started the deliveries. The prices of Verna start at Rs 9.30 Lakhs going up to Rs 15.09 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The facelifted Verna gets a significant cosmetic upgrades including new design for alloy wheels, headlamp and tail lamp, refreshed front and rear bumpers and the bigger cascading grille. Inside the cabin, it gets a makeover with a new touchscreen infotainment system, new seat upholstery and some other tweaks.

New engine options include 1.5 Litre petrol and diesel engines from the Creta along with the 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine from Venue. The petrol and diesel engine, both, produce 115 PS. The turbo unit produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque, making it the most powerful sedan in segment.

Features onboard include 20.32 cm touchscreen infotainment system with Blue Link internet car technology, electric sunroof, digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, all-black interior (Turbo), front ventilated seats, full LED headlamps, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Rear View Monitor, Wireless phone charger and more.

Safety features include six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, electronic stability control (ESC), Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability management, burglar alarm, rear disc brakes and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
