Here is an example of a pre-facelift Tata Nexon that toppled at a very high speed but still kept all the passengers safe and without injuries.
Tata Nexon is one of the safest SUVs in India. In 2019, it scored 5-star safety rating for adult occupants and 4-star safety for child occupants. Every now and then, we see Nexon involved in different accidents that help us believe more about its safety and how it has a strong build quality. Here’s another example.
This is the pre-facelift Nexon that had been in the accident sometime before the lockdown. The owner of the Nexon was driving at high speed with passengers in it. Soon, he lost control of it and the car toppled at a high speed. By the impact of the accident, seems like the Nexon was roughly above 100 km/hr.

All the passengers escaped without any major injuries, just some cuts and bruises. The front portion has completely come out and seems like a costly repair. The bonnet has not received any major damage but the bumper and radiator have. The front alloy wheels have also been twisted completely.
From the side, you can see that the doors have been crushed. Surprisingly, the pillars have not been completely damaged. The roof has also been dented indicating that it toppled atleast 2-3 times. Lastly, the front and rear windshield have shattered completely due to the impact. In this case of toppling, the airbags came out because there is an impact from the front.
The pre-facelift Nexon comes with most the features that now come on the facelifted version. The latter gets a couple more like Hill Start Assist and an optional front parking sensors. Even talking about the regular features, the facelift just gets cruise control, electric sunroof, automatic rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.
