The Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition is only limited to 250 units for India and a for a price of Rs 45,000 more than the standard car, you get a stealthy looking Compass that gets blacked out elements on the outside and inside.
Jeep teased a limited edition Compass ‘Night Eagle’ a couple of weeks ago and now, the company has launched the SUV in our market for a starting price of Rs 20.14 lakh. The Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition is meant to celebrate the third anniversary of the Compass SUV in India but it ha been limited to only 250 units. The Night Eagle edition is based on the mid-spec Longitude trim and it is available with three of the five powertrain options available with the Compass. Here’s a detailed price list of the Jeep Compass Night Eagle edition in India.

The Night Eagle edition is thus Rs 45,000 more expensive than the standard variant its based. But what sets the Jeep Compass Night Eagle apart? Well, the name already has some hint. The Jeep Compass Night Eagle is a complete blacked-out version of the standard Compass. It comes painted exclusively in shade of black with gloss black detailing on the grille and along the window surrounds. It also gets black Jeep badges and the 18-inch alloy wheels also come painted in gloss black. The Compass Night Eagle edition is available white, black, grey and red exterior paint shades.
On the inside, the Compass Night Eagle gets a special techno’ part-leather seat upholstery and also gloss black inserts around the infotainment system and the AC vents and the interiors have an all-black theme. In terms of equipment, the Compass Night Eagle is based on the Longitude trim and carries most of its features. That includes an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start with keyless entry, Xenon projector headlamps, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ESP and hill-start assist and more.

As mentioned earlier, the Night Eagle gets three powertrain options from the standard Compass. You get the 1.4L turbo-petrol engine that produces 163hp and 250Nm and a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine that produces 173hp and 350Nm. The petrol engine is only offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and misses out on the 6-speed manual gearbox available with the standard Compass. The diesel engine is available with both the 6-speed manual and the 9-speed torque-converter automatic. As ever, the 4×4 system has been kept reserved only for the diesel automatic variant.

While this limited Night Eagle edition will spice things up for the Compass for some while, there’s a facelift lined up for the Compass that’s scheduled for a launch in early 2021. It will be quite a comprehensive facelift with significant changes to the design inside and out. Following that, Jeep also has a 7-seater version of the Compass in store for us that could feature a more powerful iteration of the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine.
