The BS6 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster has been launched in India at the same price as the BS4-spec model (its only introductory) and it gets a new color option as well as a slight improvement in engine output.
As we entered into the BS6 era, Triumph’s lineup in India were missing of quite a few important models. The British motorcycle manufacturer is now finally bringing back their models with BS6 complaince and latest to join the lineup is the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster. The BS6 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster has been launched in India for a price of Rs 11.34 lakh for the Jet Black and Cobalt Blue color options.
There’s also a Fusion White with Phantom Black and hand-painted lines variant which has been priced at Rs 11.64 lakh. The Cobalt Blue is actually a new color option for the 2020 model. Surprisingly, the pricing has been kept similar to the BS4-spec model but we believe this is only an introductory price. The company will most likely increase the price of the motorcycle in the near future.
Apart from the engine being updated to meet the BS6 norms, all equipment and features on the Bonneville Speedmaster stay just the same. It continues to be powered by a 1,200 cc ‘high torque’, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that is tuned to produce 78bhp at 6,250 rpm with a peak torque output of 107 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Interestingly, the power has gone up by 2bhp and torque by 1Nm over the BS4-spec model. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
