The BS6 Triumph Bonneville Street Twin has been launched in India at the same price as the BS4-spec model, although its only introductory. There are absolutely no other changes on the bike other than BS6 complaince.
As we entered into the BS6 era, Triumph’s lineup in India were missing of quite a few important models. The British motorcycle manufacturer is now finally bringing back their models with BS6 compliance and latest to join the lineup is the Triumph Bonneville Street Twin. The BS6 Triumph Bonneville Street Twin has been launched for a price of Rs 7.45 lakh (ex-showroom), and that incidentally is the same as the BS4-spec Street Twin.
It is the Jet Black color on the Street Twin that has been priced at Rs 7.45 lakh while the Korosi Red and Matt Ironstone are priced at Rs 7.58 lakh (ex-showroom). These are however only introductory prices as they are identical to the BS4-spec motorcycle. The company will most likely increase the price of the motorcycle in the near future. The Street Twin is one of the most popular motorcycles in the Bonneville range in India and it continues to build on that strength.
The BS6 Street Twin continues to be powered by a 900 cc parallel-twin liquid cooled engine that has been tuned to produce 65 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 80 Nm of peak torque at 3,700 rpm. The engine continues to come mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine output as well as the equipment and features on the motorcycle remain identical to that of the BS4-spec model. The classic design of the Street Twin is one of its highlights and there are no updates on that front either.

In terms of equipment, the BS6 Triumph Street Twin continues to get ABS, traction control, and ride-by-wire. The ride-by-wire technology allows for two riding modes on the motorcycle – Rain and Road. All the power output remains identical in both the modes, the throttle response is slightly subdued in the Rain mode when riding in slippery conditions. The Street Twin also gets a slip and assist clutch as standard fitment.
