Ford has introduced the Freestyle Flair special edition based on the Titanium+ variant for a price of Rs 30,000 more for both petrol and diesel variants. The Freestyle Flair essentially gets some black and red cosmetic updates on the outside and inside.
Ford has launched a special edition variant of the Freestyle called the Freestyle Flair and it comes with some really tasteful exterior and interior cosmetic trim that is based on the Titanium+ variant. The Ford Freestyle Flair will be available in both petrol and diesel guise, where the petrol variant has been launched for a price of Rs 7.69 lakh while the diesel variant is priced at Rs 8.79 lakh, all prices ex-showroom. The Ford Freestyle Flair is Rs 30,000 more expensive for both the petrol and diesel variants than the corresponding Titanium+ variant its based on.
The Freestyle Flair essentially comes with some black and red accents on the exterior and interiors that make it look a tad bit more sporty. The updated include a contrasting gloss black roof and gloss black alloy wheels while there are some more red accents in the form of red roof rails, red outside rear view mirrors and also a red accents for the skid plates. There are even red and black graphics on the side of the car. On the interiors, there are some additional red accents on the door pads with the word ‘Flair’ stitched on to the seats. The seats also get a black and grey upholstery instead of the all-black theme on the standard car.
The Freestyle Flair is based on the top-spec Titanium+ trim and it thus comes loaded with all the features the Freestyle has to offer. Standard equipment includes a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with embedded satellite navigation (but no Apple Carplay or Android Auto), automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, 6 airbags, rear-view parking camera, remote central locking, and more. Ford has also equipped the Freestyle Flair with Ford’s in-car connectivity suite – FordPass – and its now offered on the other variants as well.

Under the hood, the Freestyle Flair gets the same engine options as the standard BS6 Fresstyle. That means there’s a 1.2L, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 96hp and 119Nm of torque. As for the diesel engine, its a 1.5L, four-cylinder unit that produces 100hp and 215Nm. The Freestyle has class leading power and torque figures for both its engines but its fuel economy will certainly keep you wanting for more. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Ford Freestyle is an extremely fun to drive cross-hatch that will also surprise you with its sprightly performance. With these added cosmetic upgrades, Ford is essentially trying to keep the Freestyle relevant in the face of tougher competition. In other news, Ford is also working towards launching a petrol-automatic variant of Figo hatchback later this month. However, unlike the BS4-spec Figo which got the bigger 1.5L petrol engine for its automatic variant, the BS6 Figo petrol-automatic will continue with its 1.2L petrol engine.
