Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 are one of the most popular motorcycles under Rs 3 Lakhs now. With their old school charm, a 650cc twin-cylinder engine and decent cruising capability, both of them are very practical and VFM. The Interceptor is a roadster with upright stance, while the GT is a cafe racer with a racing stance.

Talking about the cosmetic upgrades, it gets shorter front fender and none at the back. The tyres have been upgraded to Pirelli MT 60 RS at the front and Metzeler tyres at the rear. Further, there are golden callipers at both ends, new headlamps, an engine bash plate and a new instrument cluster as well.
Mechanical changes include the addition of upside-down forks which alone costs Rs 61,000. Then the original handlebar has been replaced by a shorter one which will give the rider a more focused riding position. Even the sprocket setup has been changed to get synchronized with better performance.
The engine has been retweaked with an ECU upgrade and custom air filters. The engine modifications make the bike offer 8 BHP more than original. Its 650cc engine now offers 55 BHP, instead of 47 BHP. The torque generation remains the same at a peak of 52 Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The owner has spent more than 1.5 years on this project and is now very close to completion. We are not sure if this bike is road legal because of the drag exhaust and its heavy noise.
