A guy from Vizag, mostly an employee of Kia Motors India had the chance to take out the Sonet out for a long drive. That’s probably a first for India too. Through his experience, he has shared the mileage figures that the diesel automatic variants will offer. As per him, it will offer 21 kmpl on highways and up to 18.7 kmpl in the city.

We are not sure if the guy is just revealing the claimed mileage figures or he has actually tested it. By the looks of it, it seems like he carried out a mileage test. Even for that, the fuel efficiency seems to be great for Kia Sonet Diesel Automatic. Based on that, we can expect the manual variants to deliver more than 21 kmpl in city.

With the mileage figures, the guy has also added a small line saying that its performance and comfort is also good. The variant in the question is the Sonet GTX+ Diesel-AT which is the top-of-the-line variant. We can differentiate that its the GT Line by just seeing the red insert on the bash plate.

While GT Line will only come in 1 variant, HT Line will offer 5 including HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+. The automatic variants will only come on the ‘+’ package. We are expecting the prices to start off at around Rs 8 Lakhs going all the way up to 12.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
