The MG Gloster for India is actually the Maxus D90 sold abroad and the interiors of the Gloster are identical to the SUV its based on. The interior of the Gloster is easily the most luxurious one we have seen in this segment and it comes with a premium dual-tone color scheme where most of the cabin is wrapped in a combination of black and tan leather upholstery. Even the upper half of the dashboard gets a tan leather finish with brushed aluminium trim.

A 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment screen takes center stage on the dashboard and we must say that the layout of the interiors look a lot similar to that of BMW interiors. There’s are neatly styled AC vents below the screen followed by a stack of manual buttons and dials for the climate controls. From these spy images, we can also see the yacht-style gear selector (again similar to Audi cars) for the automatic transmission, a fully digital instrument cluster, paddle shifters, an electronic parking brake and also a drive mode selector.

What comes as a bigger surprise is that the middle row of the Gloster will come with captain seats with dedicated rear AC vents with controls. Meanwhile, the third row gets a bench seat with space for three, which is what makes the Gloster a 7-seater SUV. The seats with the tan leather upholstery also get features a diamond quilt pattern which gives it a really premium look. The same pattern has also been replicated on the front door pads.

Apart from well appointed interiors, the Gloster will also feature advanced driver assistance features. This includes features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, frontal collision warning and hands-free auto-parking. Some of these features are only found on some high-end luxury cars in India and it makes the Gloster quite unique to be offered with these features. It will also get on-demand four-wheel-drive and that’s only apt in order to take the competition to the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavor and Mahindra Alturas G4, all of which come with 4×4 system.
