Ford has released a new video showing a bunch of Bronco SUVs offroad through the rocky terrains of Moab, Utah and its astonishing to see with how much ease the Bronco aces it all. Enjoy some off-roading action in the video below.
The Ford Bronco has been one of the most important international unveils of the year and certainly the revival of a very legendary nameplate. Ford already makes a ton of SUVs – some of which are really capable off the road – but the Bronco is arguably the most capable offroad vehicle built by Ford. Ford is extremely proud of their new creation and they wouldn’t miss any opportunity to show off what the new Bronco is really capable of. And here’s the first proof of it.
Ford has recently released a video, showing a bunch of Broncos acing the rocks of Moab, Utah, USA. The video features some Ford Bronco prototypes – it includes both the two-door and four-door models – and we can see them making their way through very challenging terrains. First, the video shows a four-door Bronco climb up a rather steep rocky slope followed by another two-door model climb down a rock fold. What’s really astonishing is the ease with which the Bronco is overcoming all the challenges.
You can easily understand from the video that the terrain is very treacherous for most parts of it. There are sections which test the wheel articulation of the SUV, the all-wheel drive system, the torque-ey engine, approach and departure angles and even the locking of the differentials – all aspects of the SUV have been rigorously tested in these offroad conditions and Ford Bronco comes out with flying colors. Some sections were really not easy but in the hands of a capable driver, the Ford Bronco can really take a lot of beating.

Although the drivers seem to be experienced professionals, these test prototypes seem to be equipped with the “Sasquatch Package”. This package essentially makes the Bronco a hard-core offroad vehicle right from the factory. It is evident from the video that the four-door models of the Bronco had some trouble with maneuverability owing to its length but its the two-door model that fits the bill perfectly, managing to climb even the steepest of hills. Ford sells the 2020 Bronco in three body styles – two-door, four-door and the Sport model.

While the first two models are hard-core offroader with a traditional body-on-frame construction with removable doors and a roof, the Sport model is more of a crossover SUV that brings in some amount of practicality and is a good blend of off-road prowess and on-road dynamics. The two-door and four-door off-road spec Broncos get two engine options under their hood – a 270-hp 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline-four and a 310-hp 2.7-liter V-6. The Jeep Wrangler perhaps finally has a rival to really worry about.
