Here are all the differences that you will see between the newly unveiled Kia Sonet Tech Line and GT Line variants.
Like the Kia Seltos, even the Sonet will come in Tech Line and GT Line trims. We know a lot of buyers were confused between both the trim lines, as one was very practical the other one also practical, but a little costly. So, here are all the major differences listed between the Kia Sonet Tech Line and GT Line trims.
Kia Sonet Tech Line Vs GT Line – Differences
Firstly, the Sonet comes with three engine options including a 1.2 Litre petrol, a 1.0 Litre turbo petrol and a 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine produces 83 PS and 113 Nm of peak torque, with a 5-speed MT as standard. The turbo petrol engine is good for 120 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque and will come with three gearbox options – a 6-speed MT, a 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed iMT. Lastly, the diesel engine produces 100 PS and 240 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT.
Engine And Gearbox Options
Tech Line: This trim will only come with the petrol and diesel engines, missing out on the turbo unit. The Tech Line variants will only come with a petrol-5MT, diesel-6MT and diesel-6AT options.
GT Line: Variants of this trim will be offered with the 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol TGD-I engine and the 1.5 Litre diesel engine. Further, it will come with turbo petrol-6MT, turbo petrol-7DCT, turbo petrol-6iMT, diesel-6MT and diesel-6AT combinations.
Cosmetic Differences
The main difference between both the trims is mostly related to some cosmetic bits. GT Line trims will get red contrasts on the front grille, bash plate and on the back. Also, on the grille, you will see the GT line branding. Inside the cabin, there’s red stitching on the steering wheel, seat upholstery and centre console. Also, you will get a flat-bottom steering wheel exclusively for this trim. Lastly, there’s sporty aluminium pedals, blacked-out roof, red brake calipers and a couple of exclusive colour options to separate both.
Features
Couple of feature difference includes paddle shifters for the GT Line DCT variants and additional driving modes and traction control. Other than that, all the features between both the trims are the same for the respected variants.
