Check Out This Review Of Tata Hexa Running More Than 1 Lakh Kms!

Tata Hexa was launched in 2017 as its flagship product but due to the BS6 norms was discontinued early this year. It is bound to make a comeback towards the end of this year.

Here is a video made by the owner of Tata Hexa that shows how the car has been his daily driver since he bought. In just two years, the owner has clocked more than 1 Lakh kilometres on Hexa which is a big achievement. Usually, for that record, it usually takes 4-5 years for a regular driver. The owner has shared his experience and how good the car is even after this long stint.

The owner has talked about the goods and bads of this car over the years. He says that he liked Tata Hexa on the first test drive itself and he always wanted a Tata car, anyways. He soon bought the XM variant which is the mid-spec trim. It does not get many features that come on the top-end trim and in comparison to its current competitors, very few. However, its one of the best highlight remains the RWD drivetrain.

The owner further says that even after a Lakh kilometres done, Hexa offers his a mileage of 16 kmpl. That’s the figure in the city as well as on the highway. He found the cabin of Hexa very spacious and accommodating. Although, he has complains about the power of headlamps which are weak right from the start. XM variant goes with projector headlamps but still offer low visibility.

The owner also loves the ride and handling of Tata Hexa. He first wanted to buy Tata Safari but found a few niggles with it. That’s when he decided to go for the MPV. Plus, he has a Mahindra Scorpio but finds Hexa a lot better than it. Different videos of Youtube show its capability while off-roading and how its great at it. However, its long wheelbase and the ladder frame chassis do make things harder sometimes.

Hexa came with a 2.2 Litre Varicor 320 and Varicor 400 diesel engines. Both just had different tuning for different variants. The XM, XT and XZ produced 156 PS and 400 Nm of peak torque, while the base XE variant offered 150 PS and 320 Nm. Gearbox options included a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic as well. Nevertheless, we are waiting for it to make a comeback in BS6 avatar towards the end of 2020.
