The Ford Endeavor Sport is based on the Titanium+ 4×4 trim and its price is at a premium of Rs 65,000 over the variant its based on. Mechanically identical to the standard SUV, the Sport variant gets some stealthy cosmetic makeover.
After some anticipation was created with a couple of spy shots and a teaser image, Ford has now launched the Endeavor Sport trim in India for a price of Rs 35.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Sport variant is based on the Titanium+ 4×4 trim, from which it costs a premium of Rs 65,000 for this stealthy looking Endeavor. The Ford Endeavor Sport variant essentially gets a cosmetic makeover over the standard SUV but there are no mechanical changes on the SUV.
Ford is bringing this special variant of the Endeavor to India as an answer to the recently launched Toyota Fortuner TRD that gets a similar treatment. As the name already suggests, the Endeavor Sport gets some distinguishing ‘sporty’ touches. All the chrome and silver trims on the exterior of the SUV are finished in a stealthier gloss black shade. That includes the front and rear skid plates, grille surround, ORVM, roof rails, fender vents and side-step. The alloy wheels too come finished in black and even sport a new design.
The Endeavor Sport variant gets an all-black grille with a new honey-comb design in place of the chrome-slatted design on the standard SUV. The lower bumper has also been blacked out, as have been the insides of the headlamps. There are also few ‘Sport’ badges on the exterior of the car – one of the tail gate and then two more as decals over the rear door. Around the back, too, the silver and chrome trim has been blacked out. The Endeavour Sport is available in a choice of three colours – Absolute Black, Diffused Silver and Diamond White.

The interiors of the Endeavor Sport carries forward the same design as the standard SUV. Interestingly, Ford has not gone for an all-black theme for the interiors of the Sport variant but it carries on with the dual tone black and beige theme. The features list will be identical to the standard SUV as well. Some of the highlight features include LED headlamps, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, cruise control, panoramic sunroof, hands free tailgate opening, hands free parking, Ford’s Terrain Management system and more.

Safety features have also been carried forward unchanged, which includes 7 airbags, ESC, traction control, tyre pressure monitor, hill descent control and more. Under the hood, the Endeavor Sport could continue with the 2.0L turbo-diesel engine from the standard SUV that produces 168hp and 420Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. There is no option for a manual gearbox but all-wheel drive comes as standard. While its meant to be a direct rival to the Toyota Fortuner TRD, we will admit that the updates are not as comprehensive as on the latter. Meanwhile Ford has also started working on the next-gen of the Endeavor SUV.
